Good-bye to naps

Just because I have to have at least one cherry blossom picture each year.

Naps or early bedtime...?
I Don't know what to do about naps... it seems like Madison will only take a nap every other day. Personally I think she needs a nap EVERY day. Not just for the peace and quite I get during the nap but for the sweet little thing she is when she does nap, versus the not so sweet thing when she doesn't. She gets put in bed every day and I leave her for two hours since that is how long she will sleep if she does go to sleep. Either way I get a break, its just so much nicer in the afternoon when she does sleep... maybe the warm weather will help to tire her out more during the day. Any suggestions? This is Madison on one of her no nap days, she asked me to bring her pillow and bear and blanket out to the living room while she watched her show (since that's all I wanted to try to make her do!) She was acting about like she looks here in this picture. It was a rough afternoon and a very early bedtime!

Future Basketball Star...
When I put Madison down for her nap/ quite time today, I put her underwear back on over her diaper followed by her leggings and little skirt. When I got her up from nap time she had on just a diaper and her leggings were on inside out and backwards... Her skirt and underwear were where you ask? Oh... in the dirty clothes basket. Mind you Madison is still in a crib and doesn't know how to get out and the laundry basket is not reachable from bed so I guess the conclusion I come to is, we need to sign her up for basketball.

Happy Ryan Time...
Usually Madison gets up from her nap first and the other day she heard Ryan crying in his bed and proceeded to run straight there while saying "Ill make you happy Ryan!" Which she did a very good job of. You see getting out of cribs and play pens is not her specialty but getting in she could do all day long, she enjoys climbing into Ryans play pen when he wakes up and playing in there with him. This is one of the only times you will catch them playing nicely together and laughing very hard.

Volleyball/Biting
I have been playing volleyball on Tuesday mornings with some girls in our stake and am totally loving it. There are usually only a handful of us there but we get to practice serving and hitting and then we usually play a game also. This of course is all in and amongst our numerous children and between taking care of them we get a few hits in here and there. The kids love it because they just get to play in the gym and up on the stage so its a good work out for all of the above.
However its not all fun and games, last week Ryan was fighting over one of the toys with another girl and was bitten. Ahhh, what do you tell the parents when that happens to their kid while in your care...? I am lucky Ryans parents are very understanding and it was not a huge deal but there were some pretty good marks, she broke the skin with at least three teeth. I guess some kids scream (Ryan) and some kids bite!

Lollipops!
Madison recently had a bit of a regression in her potty training. To help resolve this we resorted to bribes, again! Her favorite treats are lollipops at the moment so
Just thought these were cute...
