Soggy Bottom Boys AR and Land Navigation Challange

This past weekend Phil and I embarked on a new kind of adventure for us, or for me anyway. Phil did this race last year with a friend and some how convinced me it would be fun for us to do together! And it was!
We had to plot point on a map using the coordinates given us and then get on our bikes and ride to the approximate location and then go tromping through the woods to find these little orange boxes and mark our paper with the special hope puncher. We had six hours to collect as many a we could.
We did pretty good we found all but two that we set out to find. My butt was numb and I could barely walk back to the car when we were done but it was a ton of fun!
It was a pretty place and some interesting folk involved!
We did lots of this!

And this!

And more of this!

You can't see it very well but this is where Phil is being told by one of the land owners, in his camo jacket! that if we go out the way he saw us going we may very well be threatened with a shot gun! Gotta love the rural community! We did find out that one of the other teams did actually get that threat, fun stuff!

We were so lucky to have good friends that love us enough to watch our kids for a whole day! It was fun to get to work together and be successful at it. Phil was kind enough not to totally leave me in the dust on the biking portion but my legs were on fire by the time we finished.

So fun and I would totally do it again!
