New York! New York!

We finally made it up to New York. We had the wonderful opportunity to go just the two of us for two days this last weekend. Thank you Celia!!! We had a blast, I thought I would share just a few highlights and anyone who really cares for details is welcome to ask.

We did all the usual stuff...

Time Square

Hershey Factory

M&M store

Statue of LibertyEmpire State Building (for free with no lines mind you, its great to know people!!!)

Rockefeller Square

Central Park

Broadway

Some extras that were great memories....

We loved our hotel!

We saw a man get arrested (first time for everything!)

We had dinner at a great Jazz club where Phil got to show off his moves to the live band...

Phil had a warm welcome from the pigeons the first day! I thought this was pretty funny, he did not.

Things we learned...

We don't know how to read bus schedules.
It all about who you know.
The rail system will get you anywhere if you have a map.
A nice hotel is worth the extra distance.
No one in New York wants to help you find anything.
The most helpful people are usually lost too!
There are long lines for everything.
New York is beautiful at night.
Two days is not long enough.
Two days is definitely expensive enough!
Madison really could care less who takes care of her as long and she gets her food and sleep!!!

We missed her smiling face but at least she benefited from the experience too, she had all the attention she could dream of and then some all weekend. Plus even more once mom and dad got home. I think she may need a few years to grow into the souvenir, maybe by the time it fits her she will care when we leave her for the weekend...

Peek-a- Boo!

We have discovered that Madison really gets a kick out of peek-a-boo anytime she thinks you are starting to play it with her she starts giggling really loud. She is such a happy little girl, I have the best job in the whole world!

Tagged...

I have been tagged to do this meme by Playful Professional and since I have never done one or passed one on I thought I would give it a go.
  1. The rules of the game get posted at the beginning.

  2. Each player answers the questions about themselves.

  3. At the end of the post, the player then tags 5 people and posts their names, then goes to their blogs and leaves them a comment, letting them know they've been tagged and asking them to read your blog.

Now for the meme:

What I was doing 10 years ago: I was in 8th grade at Sequoia Middle School in California , hating school and especially math with Mrs Curtis, first C of my whole life.

Five things on my To Do List today:

  1. Get quarters to do laundry

  2. Do the laundry

  3. Iron my husbands shirts from the laundry

4. Fold the laundry

5. What can I say its Saturday, I try not to ask to much of myself on the weekends...

Snacks I enjoy: Anything with sugar in it really but my top favorites at the moment would have to be home popped popcorn, and of course my all time favorite Skittles and Starburst.

Things I would do if I were a billionaire: Buy a house with no more loud neighbors to deal with, buy my husband a Shelby Mustang with racing stripes and a bunch of other things I keep telling him he can't have because we cant afford it ( I hate saying that to him.) , redecorate my new house any way I want, and then do it again... New clothes and all the shoes and bags I want. (not really I would probably do more for other people like my family but this is just for fun right!)

Three of my bad habits: Not putting my clothes away, starting projects and not finishing them(my husband loves this one.) Spending money...

Five places I have lived: Concord CA, Wellington New Zealand, Provo UT, Logan UT, Alexandria VA. These are actually all the places I have lived, that I can remember that is.

Five jobs I've had: Cashier at a fish and chips shop, waitress at an Italian restaurant, Student Supervisor at BYU Take-out Catering, Office Manager at National Research, MOM

Five people I want to know more about (a nice way of saying TAG!): Lisa, Deanna, Kim, Katie, and Mary.

I can't wait for spring!

Its still cold most days but when the sun is shining its hard for me to stay in doors, we have been out to the little playground by our house a few times already.

We can't stay out for long because the girls nose's start to get pink, and this just really makes me want spring to come. I have found that they both enjoy the swings very much, its really cute to watch them giggle.

They are such wonderful little happy girls, I am so lucky I get to watch one that is just as happy and as much a joy as my own.

He makes friends easily
He has a great sense of humor and makes me laugh
He likes to have fun
He loves to read

Phil I love you with all my heart, I am so grateful that you choose me and that we will be together for ever! Thank you for being so wonderful, Happy Anniversary!

4 Years!!!

OK, so I'm a little late, our anniversary was now 7 days ago. I thought I would make mention of it as it is one of those semi-important annual events.
We stayed in, we had intended to go to New York over the weekend for the event however that has been postponed till next weekend, which I am so excited for. If anyone has any good New York advice please share, I need all the help I can get.
Although we have future plans I did get flowers...I love flowers! And I also got a chopper which I have needed and a whirly pop, the best pop corn popper out there! Thanks Honey!
Its hard to believe we have been married for 4 years already.

Discovery...

Now that Madison can stand up on stuff this is her new way of watching TV! If its a show she likes, for example Baby Einstein as pictured here, she crawls right over to the TV and stands just at the base of it to watch, its pretty cute.

And this is the other new discovery she has found but not quite mastered, climbing through the base of the rocking chair. I mean how could you resist it just looks like so much fun. The first time she did it she made it all the way through no problem, then on subsequent attempts she got stuck half way and she didn't thnik that was very fun.

Is it bad that I find this pretty funny?
