Christmas Tree Hunting!

We decided to make a tradition of getting our Christmas tree the day after thanksgiving or in this case the Saturday after Thanksgiving! We found this cute place called Ticonderoga Farms where you can go and pick out and cut your own Christmas tree and they also have some really fun stuff to do! So that being said we have pulled out all the Christmas decorations and I figured I would share some of them and the fun times we had at the farm with some good friends of ours!
Phil taking the girls down the tunnel slide!

The kids couldn't get enough of the slides.
Random non Christmas related decorations the kids thought were fun!

Last year Madison was screaming at this point!
Searching out for the perfect tree.

Mountain Women!

Can you see her? I think her leopard print camouflage is canceled out by the pink hat!

Madison wanted to carry the saw the whole time we were out and about.
This is what Samantha did while we hiked for and cut down the tree!

Here is the tree before we cut it!

Dad carried it in the end, since Madison only lasted about 10 seconds helping to pull it.

Looks like you guys had a blast picking out a tree. I am sure it makes your apartment smell wonderful. I am looking forward to having our own tree someday when we actually end up sticking around for the holidays.

What a fun tradition! I miss when we used to go cut down our christmas tree when we were little...which I think only happened once or twice cuz we usually just bought it in a parking lot :) Now Randy and I have resorted to using a fake one...at least for now, since we are always out of town for christmas. But someday, when we stay at home for christmas, we will definitely need to get a real one! They are the best! ;)

When we have our own xmas tree farm will you come cut one there? We will even put up a slide for Phil to go down.
